With the new Burmester Compose app, Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH is now doing what many other manufacturers in the consumer electronics sector have been doing for some time, namely giving customers a way to integrate products virtually into their own living environment in order to get a first impression of how they would look here. The focus is on augmented reality technology and the app in question, which uses this technology to project products from Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH into the room.
The new augmented reality app for a very first impression
The functionality of the Burmester Compose App is very simple. The user selects those components from Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH that interest him, thus configuring his hi-fi chain consisting of electronic components, speaker systems and matching racks.
Once this is done, the app uses the integrated camera to provide a live image of the living environment, into which the hi-fi components are then inserted and thus virtually projected into the room.
This actually gives a very good picture of how the hi-fi system will look in your own four walls, both in terms of design and actual size.
Additional information available
A particularly practical feature is that all relevant information about the selected components can of course be called up via the Burmester Compose app, so that you are also aware of all the facts from a technical perspective.
Once you have configured your desired system in this way, the app also puts you in direct contact with a specialist dealer at the touch of a button, so that you can follow the virtual experience with a practical listening test at home.
Prices and availability
For now, the Burmester Compose app is only available for Apple iOS and thus Apple iPhone and Apple iPad. However, the German high-end hi-fi company is already working on a version for Google Android and thus the second important platform for mobile devices. The Burmester Compose app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store.
Getting to the point
The new Burmester Compose App based on Augmented Reality is an extremely innovative, as very practical and simple way to insert products at least virtually into one’s own living space, and thus to have their effect immediately conveyed as they would ultimately actually look. Unfortunately, the option is currently only available for Apple iOS, but according to Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH, Google Android will follow in the near future.
