ESC 2026 in Vienna – High-end Vienna 2026 will now take place in June

It is thanks to the outstanding artist JJ that Austria was able to win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, or ESC for short. This means that this event will be held in Austria next year, probably once again in the capital city of Vienna. It is therefore also clear that an immense rush of visitors can be expected, with the organiser ORF expecting hundreds of thousands of visitors to come to Vienna for the ESC 2026.

This could of course be relevant for an event taking place in Vienna for the first time next year, namely High End Vienna 2026 organised by High End Society Service GmbH, which was also scheduled for May 2026.

One week later – 4. to 7. June 2026

Due to the changed situation caused by the Euroivision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, it has now been decided to postpone the date for High End Vienna 2026 by one week instead of 28. to 31. May 2026, according to the organiser High End Society Service GmbH. The trade fair will therefore take place from 4. to 7. June 2026.

This should ensure that everything runs smoothly. This primarily concerns the volume of traffic in the city, but also the availability and not least the pricing of accommodation for visitors from outside the city.

Furthermore, this offers the advantage that the first day of the trade fair and thus one of the two trade visitor days will once again traditionally fall on a public holiday, not only in Austria but also in large parts of Germany, which is of course particularly relevant for specialist retailers.

Getting to the point

It is an extremely clever decision by High End Society Service GmbH to postpone the premiere of High End Vienna 2026 by one week due to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna and to hold the trade fair at the beginning of June, specifically from 4. to 7. June 2026. This will avoid the large crowds that are sure to be expected in the Austrian capital, ensure sufficient availability of accommodation and also avoid the significantly higher prices of said accommodation for ESC 2026.
