The System Audio SA Cockpit App is the central interface for the solutions of the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series, i.e. the active loudspeaker systems from System Audio A/S. Suitable for Stereo as well as Home Cinema

With WiSA technology, it is possible to assign a role to individual loudspeakers in the simplest way possible, such as covering the left or right channel of a stereo hi-fi system, but also any surround channel in a home cinema configuration, whereby solutions up to immersive 3D surround sound based on Dolby Atmos or DTS:X are possible here. All this happens “without cables”, because the control is done via radio in high resolution, free of compression, and lowest latency for a always lip-synchronous performance.

The solutions of the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series can be used extremely flexibly, whereby in the simplest case a TV with integrated WiSA technology is already sufficient as a source. However, System Audio A/S itself also offers suitable control centres, namely the so-called System Audio Stereo Hub on the one hand and the System Audio Surround Hub in the near future.

These form the interfaces to other components, be it analogue or digital, and of course the focus is on streaming, whereby all conceivable streaming services are supported, such as directly like TIDAL via TIDAL Connect and Spotify via Spotify Connect, or via other standards like Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay and UPnP as a dlna-certified streaming client, and of course Bluetooth is not missing either.

Until now, the System Audio SA Cockpit App for Apple iOS was available, but now the long-awaited version System Audio SA Cockpit App for Google Android will finally follow, System Audio A/S has now announced,

The System Audio SA Cockpit App for Google Android turns a smartphone into a control centre for the System Audio Stereo Hub and subsequently the System Audio Surround Hub and the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series solutions.

With the app, the speakers can be configured and even several speakers can be controlled, whereby from two to eight pieces from the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series can be configured as a stereo system, as a multi-room system or as a surround system.

A special feature of the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series is that it uses DSP-based signal processing, which also allows room correction via System Audio SA Room Service. In addition, a manual equaliser is available for fine-tuning and, if desired, a remote service function of the manufacturer is possible in case of emergency.

In everyday operation, the input can be selected, the volume can be controlled and access to various streaming services is possible.

With the System Audio SA Cockpit App for Google Android, users of a smartphone with Google Android now also have the function that users of an Apple iPhone already had with the System Audio SA Cockpit App for Apple iOS, namely full control of their solutions from the System Audio SA Legend Silverback Series. The new app now combines all the possibilities offered by these wireless active speakers from System Audio A/S via the WiSA standard used here as well as the DSP-based signal processing in one app and should enable the expansion of further new functions in the future.
