JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S – Bluetooth speaker for bicycles

Harman International Industries presented two new solutions from the JBL Wind Series at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, namely the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S. These are Bluetooth speakers designed for bicycles, scooters and motorbikes.

With the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S systems, special Bluetooth speakers are available that are primarily designed for use on two-wheelers, be it a bicycle, scooter, scooter or motorbike. Harman International Industries presented these new solutions of the so-called JBL Wind Series at CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

Both systems can be easily mounted directly on the handlebars and are designed to provide background music on the road.

JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S – The new solutions of the JBL Wind Series

Compared to previous JBL Wind Series solutions, the two new JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S solutions are a touch slimmer, taking up hardly any space when mounted on the handlebars of a two-wheeler.

Of course, these are particularly solidly constructed solutions, which, certified according to IP67, are classified as water-resistant and dustproof and can therefore easily withstand any weather conditions.

Different sources to choose from

First and foremost, the two systems JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S are Bluetooth speakers, of course, and the source device is a smartphone that allows music streaming from various online services, for example.

In addition, the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S systems are also equipped with a microSD card slot, so that you can carry extra audio files with you and enjoy hours of music from your own playlist.

In addition, the two small speakers also have an AUX input in the form of a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack and the JBL Wind 3S is even equipped with an integrated FM tuner.

Simple operation

Both the JBL Wind 3 and the JBL Wind 3S are designed to be as easy to use as possible, with large buttons that can be operated while driving, while the latter even has a small LED display.

Hands-free facility

Connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S systems can also be used as hands-free devices, a very practical feature that allows you to make phone calls safely while driving.

Five hours of playing time

However, the playing time specified by the manufacturer for the two systems JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S seems a little short. This is said to be five hours.

“Many cyclists love to listen to music on the go and still be aware of their surroundings. That’s why we’re excited to offer a high-quality sound option for two-wheelers. With easy click-n-go installation, powerful sound and hands-free functionality, the JBL Wind 3 Series is a must-have for cyclists.”

Pricing and availability

So far, Harman International Industries announced the two JBL Wind Series solutions for the US market alone. Here, the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S are expected to be available in June 2022 and will cost US$69.95 and US$79.95 respectively.

Getting to the point

A Bluetooth speaker designed specifically for use on two-wheelers is, after all, a very practical affair. Simply mounted on the handlebar, the JBL Wind 3 and JBL Wind 3S solutions allow you to consume music, first and foremost, of course, via Bluetooth directly from your smartphone, whereby the JBL Wind 3S also has a radio. Via Bluetooth, these solutions from Harman International Industries also serve as a hands-free device, another very practical feature.
