System Audio Stereo Hub now in Silver

With the start of the new year, System Audio A/S offers the System Audio Stereo Hub in a new design. While it was previously available in black, it will be available in silver from January 2022.

The System Audio Stereo Hub is a central component of the System Audio SA Silverback Series. It is the interface between various source devices and the active loudspeaker systems from System Audio A/S that are controlled via radio.

Up to now, the System Audio Stereo Hub was offered in black, but from January 2022 it will be available in a silver finish. This also applies to the corresponding remote control, the System Audio Remote Control.

System Audio Stereo Hub – The intelligent Control Centre

System Audio A/S itself calls the System Audio Stereo Hub the most intelligent Control Centre on the market. It is this System Audio Stereo Hub that provides the central control for a stereo system with System Audio SA Silverback Series active speakers.

The speakers themselves have inputs, of course, but they are primarily focused on DSP-based signal processing and amplifier modules, the connection to the outside world, the central control, all this is handled by the System Audio Stereo Hub.

The System Audio Stereo Hub is the hub for all audio devices. This is where you connect a TV, record player, CD player, computer or any other device that is to be integrated into the hi-fi system.

The System Audio Stereo Hub supports Google Chromecast, Apple Airplay, Bluetooth and Spotify Connect, and is thus also the central point for “wireless” devices, regardless of whether they use Apple iOS or Google Android.

The company promises uncompromising quality, as audio data with up to 24 bit and 192 kHz are supported. According to the manufacturer’s promise, the signal transmission to the actual speakers is also of high quality, with three delays.

Signal transmission to the speakers via WiSA

Signal transmission to System Audio SA Silverback Series active speaker systems is via the only actual industry standard for this task, and that is WiSA.

WiSA offers the enormous advantage that it has been specially developed for signal transmission via radio to active speaker systems and is therefore designed for the lowest possible latency combined with a high data rate for the best quality.

From now on no longer black, but silver

This System Audio Stereo Hub as the central interface of a stereo hi-fi chain is now no longer offered by System Audio A/S in black, but in silver. Of course, the System Audio Remote Control is also available in silver to match. From a technical point of view, nothing has changed, according to the Danish company.

System Audio SA Cockpit in January 2022

Finally, it should be mentioned that System Audio A/S will now probably also be able to provide the long-awaited System Audio SA Cockpit app in January 2022. At least that is the plan, according to the founder and CEO of System Audio, Ole Witthøft, to sempre-audio.at.

It is certain that the app will first be available for Apple iOS in the corresponding store, followed by that for Google Android. It is not yet entirely certain whether the System Audio Wireless Microphone for Google Android, which is required for the Room Correction function of the System Audio SA Cockpit App on this platform, will be launched at the same time – see the report by Sempre-audio.at “System Audio SA Room Service – Room Correction for System Audio SA Legend Silverback Speaker and System Audio Stereo Hub”. Users with Apple iOS have the decisive advantage that this function is available on Apple iPhone without any additional tools.

Prices and availability

Just as the technical features of the System Audio Stereo Hub remain unchanged, so does the price. You have to calculate € 699 for the System Audio Stereo Hub plus Remote. If you buy it together with speakers from the System Audio SA Silverback Series, the price is only € 399. As described, the silver version will probably be available in the course of January 2022.

Getting to the point

From a technical point of view, the System Audio Stereo Hub remains unchanged, but from January 2022 it will be available in a new design. Instead of silver as before, the Danish company System Audio A/S now uses silver. Of course, the corresponding remote control, the System Audio Remote Control, is now also in silver. Perhaps the availability of the new silver version will also be accompanied by the long-awaited app, the System Audio SA Cockpit App for Apple iOS and Google Android.
