KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 - Upgrade for more comfort
For the first time, the company KNOSTI Phono-Zubehör-Vertriebs GmbH presented the KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic in October 2021, aiming to offer a particularly effective washing machine for records. Now the second generation follows in the form of the new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0.

KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic, with this record washing machine, the company KNOSTI Phono-Zubehör-Vertriebs GmbH probably surprised many vinyl lovers, after all, they were known in the scene as a provider of particularly simple, manual cleaning solutions, which, not least because of their particularly attractive price, are popular especially with beginners, but also those users who only clean records from time to time, thus with a simply held, but therefore inexpensive solution find the Auslagen.
With the new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic, however, KNOSTI Phono-Zubehör-Vertriebs GmbH ventured into completely new regions; they even spoke of a top-class solution that encompassed 40 years of experience in the care and cleaning of records. Now, almost two years later, they present the latest generation in the form of the KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0.
KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 – The second generation
The new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 is, like its predecessor, a record washing machine that works on the basis of ultrasound. At first glance, the two systems look like each other, and in fact, the innovations that the current second generation brings with it are not really all that many in number.
In fact, the manufacturer states one thing first and foremost, namely that the KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 is supposed to offer even more comfort than the KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic.
For example, the cleaning process is now to take place automatically at the push of a button, whereby this is achieved by a design measure. Manual stopcocks are a thing of the past, says the manufacturer, referring to the automatic solenoid valve that is now used. This means that only one button has to be pressed to pump out the cleaning liquid at the end of the cleaning process.
Another detail improvement of the new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 is the reinforcement of the inner tank by the addition of fibreglass, as KNOSTI Phono-Zubehör-Vertriebs GmbH states in the corresponding press release.
Prices and availability
Pricing is not expected to change with the upgrade to the new version, so the new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 will be available from September 2023 at a recommended retail price of € 1.249,-.
Getting to the point
It is not a revolution, but rather a subtle evolution that distinguishes the new KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0 from its predecessor generation KNOSTI Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic. According to KNOSTI Phono-Zubehör-Vertriebs GmbH, the main focus is on making the cleaning process even more convenient.
