Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 – A portable Bluetooth speaker
Interestingly, in the case of the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, the manufacturer is not talking about a mobile Bluetooth speaker that you can always have with you wherever you go, but rather about a portable system. The Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 is thus designed as a solution that can be used throughout the house, sometimes here, sometimes there, and also on the balcony or terrace in the garden.
This is also supported by the fact that the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 is comparatively large and also weighs 4.7 kg, which is above the class of mobile Bluetooth speakers.
Unique design and high-quality materials
As already mentioned, the new Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 is also based on a particularly outstanding design, whereby its elegance is underlined by a proven impeccable workmanship and high-quality materials.
The curved shape of the speaker, which is also picked up by a curved carrying handle made of anodised aluminium, as well as a noble textile covering in either black or grey are used. On the top, there is a tempered glass cover with touch controls.
Solid equipment
The comparatively generous dimensions of 439 x 240 x 192 mm allow the developers to equip the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 with a solid set of features, such as two 70 mm diameter Mittenton drivers, which, together with two 20 mm tweeters plus an additional downward-firing subwoofer with a 130 mm diaphragm and a front-firing plus a rear-firing passive diaphragm, can reproduce a frequency range between 43 Hz and 20 kHz.
According to the manufacturer, a Class D amplifier module capable of delivering 160 watts will ensure a rich sound that fills any room.
The signal transmission from the source is done via Bluetooth, whereby Bluetooth 5.2 is used. Signals are transmitted here with SBC and AAC and the Bluetooth profiles A2DP 1.3, AVRCP 1.6 as well as HFP 1.6 are supported.
At least two Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 can be connected to form a stereo pair, and a connection can also be established with other Harman Kardon Dual Sound compatible Bluetooth speakers.
Likewise, two source devices can be paired with the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, but of course only one of them can actually be used for playback at a time.
Of course, the new Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 has integrated microphones to be used as a hands-free device, Harman International Industries even promises a so-called Dual Microfone Conference System with integrated echo and noise suppression for optimal speech quality.
This solution has a special feature: the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 automatically calibrates itself to its environment and thus ensures optimal sound for music, podcasts and telephone conferences everywhere.
Long battery life and integrated power bank function
The Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 has a lithium-ion battery with 25.92 Wh, as the manufacturer states, with which a playing time of up to eight hours is to be achieved. Interestingly, mobile devices such as smartphones can be connected via a USB-C port to charge their battery, so you can use the new Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 as a so-called power bank.

The new Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 should be available in specialist shops by mid-September 2023, as the manufacturer states. The recommended retail price is € 349,99.
