The latest power amplifier in the Advance Paris ClassicLine, the Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier, is designed to be the perfect partner for the Advance Paris X-P500 preamplifier.
Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier, with this the French HiFi manufacturer Advance Paris expands its so-called Advance Paris Classic Line and thus the product line that is aimed at demanding HiFi lovers.
The Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier is a particularly powerful mono power amplifier with an uncompromising design and impressive performance, according to the manufacturer’s description.
The new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO mono power amplifier is designed to be the perfect extension of the Advanced Paris Classic Line, and in particular to be the perfect partner for the Advance Paris X-P500 preamplifier.
Sophisticated hi-fi enthusiasts have always relied on the spatial separation of signal processing and amplification, Advance Paris is convinced, justifying the development of a classic preamplifier and power amplifier combination.
However, it is also stated that the clearly comprehensible advantages are also connected with additional costs, which is why the very good price-performance ratio is emphasised, which is the basic aim of the Advance ClassicLine solutions, and which of course also applies to the now completed preamplifier and power amplifier combination consisting of Advance Paris X-P500 preamplifier and Advance Paris X-A220 EVO.
Powerful solution with audiophile design
The new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier is a powerful solution with a strictly audiophile design, selected components and a timeless, characteristic look.
The new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO is immediately recognisable as a member of the Advance Paris family.
The construction is based on a steel-reinforced, rigid cabinet that makes an excellent impression both visually and haptically.
Inside, the audiophile claim of the manufacturer is revealed, for example, the individual sections and circuit boards are clearly separated from each other. In addition, an optimised layout ensures the shortest possible signal paths.
The basis of the power amplifier is a 700 VA toroidal transformer, which is combined with selected capacitors with 10,000 μF / 80 V and thus reliably absorbs power peaks.
In combination with the NE5532 op-amp and the additional NJW0281G / NJW0302G transistors, the Advance Paris X-A220 EVO provides a whopping 220 watts to speaker systems with an impedance of 8 ohms. In speaker systems with an impedance of only 4 ohms, 350 watts are available.
Traditional Class AB Concept
In the low power range, the mono power amplifier from France works in pure Class A mode and thus with a particularly appealing performance. If, on the other hand, more “emphasis” is required, the power amplifier of course automatically switches to Class AB mode and thus provides the mentioned power without any problems. But even here, the power amplifier is supposed to distinguish itself by a neutral, clean signal processing.
The new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO Mono power amplifier offers both RCA and XLR connectors. The manufacturer also emphasises that the speaker terminals are gold-plated and have an acrylic coating.
The amplifier measures 43 cm in width, 45 cm in depth and 20 cm in height and weighs 21 kg.
The new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier is available immediately from specialist dealers. The recommended retail price is € 1,590.
Getting to the point
With the new Advance Paris X-A220 EVO HiFi Mono Power Amplifier, the French HiFi manufacturer Advance Paris completes a classic preamplifier and power amplifier combination in the very well positioned Advance Paris Classic Line, which was founded in 2018 with the Advanced Paris X-P500 preamplifier. Flexibility and performance are thus combined into a thoroughly elegant and, in any case, attractively priced complete package.
