Technics SA-C600-W Network CD Receiver – New in matt white finish

Panasonic Corporation describes the Technics SA-C600 W Network CD Receiver as a solution that combines aesthetics in sound and design in a compact form. In order to set new design accents, it is now available in a matt white finish.

Story Highlights
  • The versatile Technics SA-C600 Network Receiver audio system is now available as the Technics SA-C600-W Network CD Receiver in a new design variant with a matt white finish.

The Technics SA-C600 Network CD Receiver is an essential part of the Technics Premium Class Series, as it is an extremely flexible All-in-One system that perfectly captures the spirit of the times. In its most compact form, music lovers will essentially find everything that a modern audio system needs to offer; ultimately, all that is missing is a pair of speakers, so that this solution can be categorised in the popular Just add speakers category.

Until now, Panasonic Corporation has offered this solution from the Technics brand in two design variants, namely completely black on the one hand and black in combination with silver on the other. Now, with the new Technics SA-C600-W Network CD Receiver, a further variant is available in a matt white finish.

Extensive functionality, fine sound

The fact that the Technics SA-C600 Network CD Receiver performs extremely well has already been proven in a detailed test of the All-in-One system. At this point, we would therefore like to summarise what it is capable of.

An integrated CD drive is available for everyone, and you can also access radio via FM and DAB+ as well as Internet radio. For the latter option, the Technics SA-C600 Network CD Receiver must of course be integrated into the network, then you can also directly access various other streaming services, such as TIDAL, Qobuz or Amazon Music. Of course, the streaming platforms UPnP, Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2, which are also supported here, are particularly flexible.

If you don’t want to do without a record player, you’ll be delighted with the integrated phono preamp, even if this is reserved exclusively for turntables equipped with an MM cartridge system. There is also a Line In in the form of a pair of RCA sockets as well as a coaxial and optical S/PDIF interface for other analogue or digital sources. Neither is Bluetooth, so that streaming via smartphones, for example, can be used directly without a network infrastructure.

The fine sound is provided by an amplifier based on the Technics JENO Engine, a fully digital amplifier technology developed by Panasonic Corporation for the Technics brand, which is intended to ensure an exceptionally powerful and detailed performance. Technics Space Tune is used for optimum customisation to the individual room and simple control is provided either by the Technics Audio Center app for Apple iOS and Google Android or the remote control included in the scope of delivery.

Timelessly elegant design – Technics SA-C600-W Network CD Receiver

As already described, the Technics SA-C600 Network CD Receiver has so far been available in two design variants, namely silver and black. This has been chosen with care, as the Technics SA-C600-W Network CD Receiver fits perfectly with the Technics SL-1500C-W Direct Drive Turntable, the particularly elegant white version of the legendary record player of the latest generation, the Technics SL-1500C Direct Drive Turntable.

“In recent years, we have realised that music lovers are placing more and more value on style and design. The aesthetic integration of technology into modern living spaces is therefore a particularly high priority for us. The mechanical handling of the swivelling CD cover gives you a similar experience to playing a vinyl record on one of our turntables.”

This was the conclusion of our detailed test of this fine solution from the Panasonic Corporation of the Technics brand.
