New generation with numerous improvements

The new, as the name suggests, second generation of this tool is characterised by a number of improvements, as the manufacturer promises. For example, a white LED is now used instead of the previous blue one, which should drastically improve the visibility of the lines indicating the speed on the stroboscope disc.

A CR2023 lithium button cell is now fitted inside, which should allow a significantly longer operating time. According to the manufacturer, a conscious decision was made in favour of a battery rather than a rechargeable battery, although the option of continuous current operation is offered as an alternative. Instead, the new Clearaudio Speed Light V2 is equipped with a micro USB port.

Last but not least, it should be noted that the new Clearaudio Speed Light V2 now has an aluminium housing, which replaces the previous plastic. This not only improves durability, but also makes it much more appealing to the touch and aesthetics, especially as it has a black anodised finish.

Various bundles available

It should also be noted that, according to the manufacturer, the new Clearaudio Speed Light V2 is perfectly suited for use with the in-house Stroboskop test disc. In this respect, the Clearaudio Speed Light V2 is not only offered as a stand-alone tool, but also in a bundle with various solutions such as the Clearaudio Stroboscope Testrecord, the Clearaudio Multi Installation Gauge and the Clearaudio Analogue Toolkit.
