Roon ARC with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto

With Roon ARC, Roon Labs LLC. significantly expanded the possibilities of the media management and multi-room audio streaming software Roon, because for the first time, the option was open to use one’s entire media library not only within one’s own four walls, but also on the go and thus always and everywhere to the full extent and including all functions that Roon offers in principle. Roon ARC is thus considered a kind of personal streaming service.

Roon ARC 1.0.9 now with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto Support

With the latest available version of the app Roon ARC 1.0.9, Roon Labs LLC. implements an option requested by many users since the introduction of Roon ARC, namely the direct support of Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto.

Of course, it was still possible to use Roon ARC to play music from one’s own media library at home via Bluetooth in the car, but this only becomes really convenient with direct integration into the car entertainment system via Apple CarPlay or Google Android Auto.

With Apple CarPlay, the smartphone with Apple iOS or Google Android Audio in the case of Google Android can essentially be completely controlled via the car entertainment system, first and foremost via the display, of course, but also via various function keys on the steering wheel, for example.

With the latest version Roon ARC 1.0 Build 128, which is available now, Roon ARC is now directly accessible as an app via Apple CarPlay as well as Google Android Auto and can thus also be used very comfortably.

Roon 2.0.9 – Another service release

It should be mentioned at this point that with Roon 2.0 Build 1193 or Roon 2.0.9, a further service release is also available for Roon itself. This is primarily intended to solve a problem with uninterrupted playback via Google Chromecast, as the software company Roon Labs LLC. informs us.

Also new is the Roon Remote App for Google Android and Apple iOS, which is now available as Roon Remote Build 1192.
