Pro-Ject X1 B Turntable now with Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM Cartridge

Last summer, Pro-Ject Audio Systems introduced the Pro-Ject X1 B Turntable, a turntable that fully complied with the so-called Pro-Ject Audio Systems Plan B and could therefore be assigned to the Pro-Ject True Balanced Connection Series. The aim of this initiative is to make balanced signal transmission the industry standard for record playback, which is why the Pro-Ject X1 B Turntable is a record player with a mini XLR connection at the rear as well as an RCA connection.

The only downer so far was that the Pro-Ject X1 B turntable was supplied with a cartridge system, the Pro-Ject Pick it 2 MM cartridge, which was not designed for balanced signal transmission, so customers had to upgrade in this respect. This is now a thing of the past, as the Pro-Ject X1 B turntable is now available with the new Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM cartridge ex works.

Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM Cartridge – True Balanced compatible MM cartridge system

Until now, anyone who wanted to rely on balanced signal transmission and all its advantages with the Pro-Ject X1 B turntable, for example, had to rely on an MC cartridge system, as only this technology was previously designed for this, whereas MM cartridge systems were not.

Pro-Ject Audio Systems now refers to the new Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM Cartridge as a cartridge system designed for balanced signal transmission. According to Pro-Ject Audio Systems, it is the first of its kind on the market.

The new Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM cartridge is designed in such a way that there is no longer a difference between the left and right channels, as was previously the case with MM cartridge systems. Pro-Ject Audio Systems has developed the new Pro-Ject Pick it Pro Balanced MM cartridge together with the Danish expert Ortofon A/S.
