Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH aims to meet particularly high demands with the latest in-ear headphones from the Sennheiser brand, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport, which is specially designed for sporty contemporaries and will be presented for the first time at CES 2024.

These new true wireless in-ear headphones are of course aimed primarily at sports enthusiasts, as the name – Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport – of the latest solution from the Sennheiser brand of the Swiss company Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH suggests.
What’s more, the manufacturer is even talking about the flagship in the fitness headphones sector and now wants to prove this with the presentation of the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.
Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport – Specially developed for athletes
According to Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH, the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport combines all the features that are essential for athletes. First and foremost, it offers outstanding sound, but also a multitude of functions that have so far been sought in vain in other such products, such as biometric real-time feedback.
Recording important vital signs
The new Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport features both a photoplethysmography heart rate sensor (PPG) and a body temperature sensor to provide important measurement data directly to a wide range of fitness apps and devices.
The manufacturer explains that the heart rate data from the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport can be seamlessly connected and integrated with many popular sports devices and apps such as an Apple Watch and therefore Apple Health, Garmin Watch and Garmin Connect, Strava, Peloton and many more. There is even seamless integration with Polar. For the first time in a non-Polar product, users have full access to elite biosensor functions and data analyses via the Polar Flow app ecosystem.
Equipped for the best sound quality
In order to achieve the best possible sound quality during sport, the in-ear headphones not only feature a completely newly developed acoustic system with a redesigned sound transducer, they are also specifically designed to minimise cadence and breathing noises via an acoustic relief channel integrated into the earphones.
A semi-open design ensures that users can always perceive their surroundings naturally, so that they can move safely outdoors with music in their ears, even when doing sport, although the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport does have active, adaptive noise cancellation with an adjustable transparency mode. Here too, a so-called anti-wind mode shows that the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport has been specially designed for outdoor use.
It is also fitting that the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport is naturally resistant to water, dust and sweat, as it is IP55 certified.
Even the transport case is IP54-certified and therefore particularly hard-wearing, and serves as a charging station that can extend the six hours of playing time to a total of 24 hours.
The transport case can be charged via Qi wireless charging or USB-C, the latter option also allows a quick-charging function, where ten minutes alone is enough for 45 minutes of playback.

The new Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport will be available from 9 April 2024 in a choice of Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite finishes. The recommended retail price is listed at € 329,99.
