- For the first time, the two systems Klipsch Gig XL and Klipsch Gig XXL can present so-called wireless party speakers, according to the US company Klipsch Audio.
Klipsch Gig XL and Klipsch Gig XXL are the first so-called wireless party speakers that the US speaker specialist Klipsch is now presenting as an extension of its range of portable solutions, specifically in the Klipsch Portable Bluetooth Speaker Series. The company promises powerful, punchy sound for these two solutions, as well as a rousing light show for on the go.
Nevertheless, these two new Bluetooth speakers are said to be lightweight and robust systems. Nothing stands in the way of a party with friends on the terrace, in the garden, even on the beach or while camping.
Party speakers a new market for Klipsch
The market for so-called party speakers is a very important one, which is why Klipsch is now dedicating itself to this special product group. Even though Klipsch entered this market segment comparatively late compared to other manufacturers, the company feels well prepared, and even speaks of an ideal field of activity for the company, since Klipsch brand loudspeaker systems have been used in legendary dance clubs, lounges, music parties and college events for more than 77 years. Bringing solutions explicitly designed as wireless party speakers to the market is therefore a logical step, according to the manufacturer.
Karaoke and dynamic light show included
The new Klipsch Gig XXL and Klipsch Gig XL systems differ from all other speakers from Klipsch in that they offer dynamic light shows that are synchronised with the music and can be adjusted according to user preference, as well as inputs for microphones to inspire karaoke parties. A wired microphone is included with each party speaker.
If desired, the soundscape for a party can be made even punchier by connecting two Klipsch Gig Party speakers via Bluetooth. Source devices can not only be connected via Bluetooth, but also directly via a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack and a USB port.
Even when playing at full volume, the new Klipsch Gig XL and Klipsch Gig XXL solutions should last up to eight hours thanks to their lithium-ion battery, as the manufacturer promises.
Klipsch Gig XXL Party Speaker
The larger of Klipsch’s two new wireless party speakers, the Klipsch Gig XXL features two 2-inch tweeters and two 6.5-inch woofers with bass boost mode for big, powerful party sound, with the manufacturer claiming a maximum acoustic output of 110.7dB at 0.5m.
To bring an instrument into play at a party, this solution has a 6.3 mm stereo jack input that is compatible with most guitars, keyboards, drum machines and more.
Klipsch Gig XL Party Speaker
The smaller Klipsch Gig XL can be safely enjoyed by the water thanks to its IPX4 rating and can withstand splashing water and rain. Although the Gig XL is small and only weighs around 4.5 kg, it is said to deliver a maximum acoustic output of 105 dB at 0.5 m and thus powerful sound with a 2-inch tweeter and a 6.5-inch woofer as well as special bass boost mode.

The two new wireless party speakers from Klipsch should be available in specialist shops soon. At the moment, we only have the prices for the US market. The Klipsch Gig XXL is priced at US$ 349 and the Klipsch Gig XL at USD 249,-.
