JBL Quantum Series for Home Office and Home Schooling
A little more than a year ago, Harman International Industries presented the so-called JBL Quantum Series, which was specially designed for gamers. However, the headsets and compact speakers of this model series are also suitable for home offices and home schooling.
It was at CES 2020 in Las Vegas that Harman International Industries unveiled a new JBL brand product line aimed primarily at gamers. At the time, the JBL Quantum Series was said to deliver rich sound for an immersive gaming experience.
The products of the JBL Quantum Series are primarily designed for consoles and PCs, and it is precisely the latter that is now being addressed in order to shift the focus to slightly different areas of application, for which these products are also intended to be suitable.
Home Office and Home Schooling in Focus
We are talking about the home office, which is being used by more and more employees and, of course, also by the self-employed, and in which it is of course just as important to stay in contact with work colleagues as well as customers in the best possible way.
Video calls via the various platforms have thus long since developed into a widely accepted form of communication.
The topic of home schooling is also highly relevant, and here, too, it is primarily important to stay in intensive contact with teachers, classmates and, last but not least, friends.
Here and there, these scenarios require one thing above all: high-quality audio solutions such as headsets and speakers.
That’s where Harman International Industries wants to bring the JBL Quantum Series into play.
JBL Quantum Series with the best sound quality
With the incredible sound of the JBL Quantum gaming headsets, JBL supports people in daily challenges such as virtual meetings and conferences in the home office or home schooling, according to the manufacturer.
The JBL Quantum Series is designed to deliver an absolutely authentic sound experience, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s used in the home office, home schooling or around games.
The range starts with the JBL Quantum 100, and six other solutions are available, namely the JBL Quantum 200, JBL Quantum 300, JBL Quantum 400, JBL Quantum 600, JBL Quantum 800 and JBL Quantum ONE, with some of the headsets being wired, some USB and some even wireless.
The JBL Quantum DUO is a speaker system specially designed for PC use.
All models in the JBL Quantum Series feature JBL QuantumSound Signature, which means that the sound characteristics are designed for a rich, dynamic sound.
Free from distractions
Anyone who doesn’t live alone knows the problem that working undisturbed can often be difficult. Children’s virtual lectures, roommates’ business phone calls or the neighbour’s gardening can interfere with concentration and impair performance. This is where the JBL Quantum ONE and JBL Quantum 800 headsets can help. The headsets are equipped with active noise cancelling, which eliminates distracting background noise.
Ergonomic design
Wearing headphones for long periods of time is not only uncomfortable for many, but can have physical consequences such as tension or pain. The JBL Quantum Series is specifically designed for long wear, which is why the headband is particularly light and the memory foam ear pads are covered in air-permeable, high-quality leather. This means the headset offers lasting comfort, even during long meetings or a lengthy lesson.
And after work…
In addition, the JBL Quantum Series are also ideal for gaming, whether on the PC or the console.
Anyone who has finished a marathon meeting or study session and then wants to enjoy the evening after work will find that the JBL headsets are the perfect partner for a gaming duel, according to the manufacturer. The JBL Quantum Series lets its users immerse themselves completely in their game and experience new worlds of colour and sound.
Amplifies the moment
Gamers immerse themselves even more deeply in the game. Sound usually moves on a horizontal plane. JBL’s sound algorithms, however, elevate virtual experiences to new dimensions by adding overhead channels. The result is JBL QuantumSURROUND, a sound technology supported by JBL QuantumENGINE PC software.
This creates a more spacious, realistic soundscape and is used in the JBL Quantum 300, JBL Quantum 400, JBL Quantum 600 and JBL Quantum 800 headsets.
Heightened senses
The flagship JBL Quantum ONE even takes sound to the next level, according to the manufacturer, and is equipped with QuantumSPHERE 360 sound technology developed exclusively by JBL. The head-tracking sensors and surround sound have been tested with gamers from around the world to precisely locate visual objects and link them to their sounds. Every movement in the environment is perceived more precisely than ever before.
Perfect partner
The complete JBL Quantum Series is optimised for the PC, as described, with the JBL Quantum ONE as the ultimate PC-tailored gaming headset. All models in the series can also be combined with consoles and smartphones. In addition, the headsets are compatible with Discord, TeamSpeak and Skype.
Getting to the point
It is actually obvious that a series of headphones specially developed for use on a PC should also be used for home office or home schooling, even if the developers initially focused primarily on gamers. The challenges are almost identical there and there, namely to achieve the clearest possible reproduction without disturbing other people living in the same room, while at the same time making sure that as little as possible of the surroundings is heard. Likewise, a high level of wearing comfort is relevant for use over several hours. And when the day’s work is done, you are also ready for a game or two to relax.
