The new design variants of the active studio monitor systems of the JBL brand, which Harman Luxury Audio Group presented for the first time at the High End 2023, namely the JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition, are to shine with a particularly elegant appearance.

Harman Luxury Audio Group now presents two active studio monitor systems in white, the JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition.

JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition – Harman Luxury Audio Group announces two very special design variants of active studio monitor systems, presented in – nomen es omen – brilliant white. The fact that these special design variants are offered at all is quite remarkable, especially with these two systems, because they skilfully play with vintage charm and rely on the distinctive design that distinguished JBL loudspeaker systems in the heyday of hi-fi.

The new JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition stand out from the wide range of JBL branded loudspeaker systems available from Harman Luxury Audio Group.

With a particularly elegant appearance

The manufacturer itself refers to the new JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition solutions as active studio monitor systems, which are particularly elegant in appearance.

The designers have consistently focused on white, as both systems feature not only the cabinets with whitewashed wood veneer, but also matt white horns, a baffle also in matt white, as well as a customised white speaker grille. The JBL grille in particular is very colourful, if you want to put it that way…

With the JBL 4305P Studio Monitor System, Harman Luxury Audio Group presented for the first time active loudspeaker systems of the JBL brand, which, in the form of so-called studio monitors, are not aimed at users in the pro audio segment, but rather at hi-fi enthusiasts. The wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. thus founded the new JBL Consumer Studio Monitor Series in June 2022.

The JBL 4329P Studio Monitor should prove to be a versatile active loudspeaker system, which Harman Luxury Audio Group unveiled earlier this year at Harman ExPLORE 2023, held concurrently with CES 2023 in Las Vegas. The JBL 4329P Studio Monitor is said to be designed as a highly flexible solution, offering high-resolution audio streaming as well as multiple connectivity options for both analogue and digital source devices.

Powerful, flexible and designed for the best quality

The JBL 4305P, rated at 300 watts, and the JBL 4329P, rated at 600 watts, each feature two speakers with patented 1-inch compression drivers and High-definition Imaging horns, or simply HDI horns for short. The JBL 4305P features a 5.25-inch (and the JBL 4329P an 8-inch) woofer with a black paper cone with a cast frame.

An integrated streaming engine offers both wired and wireless network audio capabilities via integrated Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 5.3 with support for SBC, AAC and aptX Adaptive, while a high-resolution 24-bit 192 kHz DAC is said to provide music with the highest fidelity.

The JBL 4305P and JBL 4329P also offer extensive connections for analogue and digital physical sources, including USB and optical S/PDIF interface for digital players, as well as 3.5mm stereo mini-jack and a combined XLR and 6.3mm TRS phono input for use with balanced or unbalanced analogue signals.

Prices and availability

The new white finish versions of the JBL Consumer Studio Monitor Series solutions are scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2023. The manufacturer quotes a price of € 2.500,- for the JBL 4305P White Edition and € 3.999,- for the JBL 4329P White Edition.

Getting to the point

It is quite surprising that Harman Luxury Audio Group has chosen solutions from the JBL Consumer Studio Monitor Series, of all things, to bring them onto the market in a new, all-white design variant in the form of the JBL 4305P White Edition and JBL 4329P White Edition systems. Surprising because the manufacturer skilfully plays with vintage touches in the current speaker systems of the JBL brand, and this also includes the sometimes very colourful design with a mixture of different surfaces and structures.
