Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Enhanced Isolation System – decoupler with tested mode of operation

The new Bassocontinuo UltraFeet, which is now being presented by the Italian company Bassocontinuo Audio Systems Srl, will prove to be highly effective decouplers. As the only supplier in this segment, the Italians boast that their effectiveness has been proven in cooperation with the Politecnico di Milano Technical University.

There are many different factors around HiFi systems that determine the quality that can actually be achieved. First and foremost, the optimal set-up must be mentioned here, because hi-fi components sometimes react extremely sensitively to vibrations, some more, others less. It should therefore be clear that only a solid foundation in the truest sense of the word is an optimal solution for the optimal placement of hi-fi components. This is of course especially true for particularly sensitive components such as record players, CD players and tube amplifiers, but some people also see the need for optimal decoupling in other components such as amplifiers in general, phono preamps and even D/A converters.

The market naturally offers countless solutions for the optimal placement of hi-fi components, from complete rack systems to special tuning solutions, such as the new decouplers of the Italian specialist Bassocontinuo Audio Systems Srl, which they are now presenting in the form of the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Enhanced Isolation System.

The company Bassocontinuo Audio Systems Srl is considered a proven specialist in the field of high-quality rack systems for hi-fi systems, and its development is primarily based on verifiable technical facts. The company has been working with the Politecnico di Milano Technical University for years, as it has done with the latest tuning solutions Bassocontinuo UltraFeet, the effectiveness of which has been confirmed in elaborate test series.

The principle that the Italians apply to the new Bassocontinuo UltraFeet is, of course, by no means new, but rather a fundamental one in reducing unwanted vibrations.

The focus here is on various viscoelastic materials that ultimately convert vibrations into heat, and which are housed in various combinations in solid all-metal enclosures. In this specific case, Bassocontinuo Audio Systems Srl has carried out numerous series of tests to determine the optimum choice of materials and combinations of materials for the widest possible reduction of vibrations, taking into account the mass to be supported. So there is not just one Bassocontinuo UltraFeet, which is equipped for all tasks, but a whole range of different decouplers with this name, each of which is available as a set of three or four.

Bassocontinuo Audio Systems Srl ultimately offers four different solutions here, which can be differentiated into Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5. The Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 2 are designed for a load of up to 10 kg, the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 2 for 10.1 kg up to 20 kg. Above that you will find the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 4 for 20.1 to 40 kg and the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 5 are even designed for components with a mass between 40.1 to 80 kg.

The manufacturer expressly points out that for the optimal mode of operation, the version required for the corresponding weight class should actually be selected. In this case, it is therefore not advisable to simply plan for a “reserve” and select a higher weight class.

The four levels currently available are also assigned to different product series. Level 2 is the Bassocontinuo Classic Line, Level 3 is the Bassocontinuo Reference Line, Level 4 is the Bassocontinuo Revolution Line, and finally Level 5 is the Bassocontinuo Ultimate Line.

By the way, the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet present themselves as a quite elegant solution, which in comparison to similar systems also appear quite compact, this should not be forgotten to mention in conclusion.

As the manufacturer states, the new Bassocontinuo UltraFeet are now available in specialist shops. The pricing can be described as quite attractive, again in comparison to many other such solutions. As already mentioned, you can choose between sets of three or four, accordingly the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 2 Set of 3 is priced at € 127,-, the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 2 Set of 4 at € 159,-. The Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 3 Set of 3 are available for € 159,- and the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 3 Set of 4 for € 199,-. The Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 4 Set of 3 are supposed to cost € 199,- and as Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 4 Set of 4 € 259,-. The solutions for systems with highest weight are available with the Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 5 Set of 3 for € 273,- and as Bassocontinuo UltraFeet Level 5 Set of 4 for € 345,-.
