Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System

Equipped with the latest AI technology for the optimal combination of voice and video, the new Yamaha CS-800 and Yamaha CS-500 video collaboration systems are said to be the optimal solution for real-time, hybrid collaboration.

With the new Yamaha CS-800 and Yamaha CS-500 solutions, Yamaha Music Europe GmbH and its Yamaha Unified Communications division once again want to meet the rapidly changing requirements in the working world, the trend towards so-called hybrid collaboration. Whether actually present in the office or in the home office, employees should be able to communicate seamlessly and in the best quality. The new Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and the also new Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System serve this purpose.

Yamaha CS-800 and Yamaha CS-500 – Designed for Hybrid Working

The two new systems, Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System, are designed to be solutions that enable video conferencing in a variety of work environments using the latest voice and speaker tracking technologies, according to the manufacturer’s promise. It is also important that this solution is presented with a modern design, so that it can be easily integrated into any office environment.

Yamaha SoundCap Eye Technology

At the heart of both the Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and the Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System is Yamaha SoundCap Eye Technology, which is based on AI technology and is designed to guarantee the precise position of people participating in a video conference, based on the voice recorded via microphones and the recordings made via the integrated 4K camera with 120° wide-angle lens.

This guarantees seamless and immersive tracking, which in turn is the basis for the best voice quality.

This task is also served by a newly developed, so-called hexa-microphone, but also by the Yamaha Smart Framing function and Yamaha Face Focus Beamforming, which also “finds” the voice of the person currently speaking, as the manufacturer itself puts it, so that video and audio are automatically and seamlessly adapted to the respective situation and the best possible image and sound quality is guaranteed. In addition, to improve clarity for the participants in a meeting, the recognised person is framed on the screen.

It is also interesting that the two systems, thanks to the technologies just mentioned, should also be equipped for when people move around in the room during a meeting. Even in this case, a constantly calm image and clear sound are to be guaranteed.

The voice output is always optimised to an appropriate volume adapted to the environment via an automatic tuning function, and a self-silence function with Yamaha HVAD Technology (Human Voice Activity Detection) automatically mutes the microphone when none of the conference participants is speaking.

Easy Launch Function and Simple Integration via USB

To ensure particularly easy integration into the working environment, the new Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System offer a so-called Easy Launch function with Auto Wake-up, which is designed to enable a quick start when entering a room.

This is also helped by the fact that the systems are ready to use immediately with just a USB connection to a laptop. A user guide function that automatically switches on the display and shows how to start a meeting also contributes to the fact that every employee can use the solutions easily and immediately.

All-in-one system or solution for use with external speakers

According to the manufacturer, the Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar is an all-in-one system that offers speakers in addition to the camera and microphone and is connected to a display via an HDMI output. The Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System, on the other hand, is designed in such a way that it does without integrated speakers, i.e. the sound is output via the display connected via HDMI or other speaker systems.

It should also be mentioned that the Yamaha CS-800 Video Sound Bar and Yamaha CS-500 Video Collaboration System solutions are certified as Zoom Room Hardware to ensure reliable collaboration for users.

A matching Bluetooth remote control is included in the scope of delivery, which on the one hand offers quick muting, but of course also further configuration options.
