T+A R 1000 E White Edition – The first Capsule Collection manufactured in Herford

It is a special model that the company T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG is now presenting with the T+A R 1000 E White Edition, and one that will not be produced in conventional form in limited numbers, but rather only for a certain period of time, beginning in December 2020 and ending in April of next year.

Back in 2016, the German high-end hi-fi manufacturer T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG presented the T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver, which the Herford-based company touted as the cornerstone of the completely redeveloped latest generation of the T+A E-Series. While the other systems in the T+A E-series, the T+A MP 1000 E Multi Source Player and the T+A PA 1000 E Integrated Amplifier, were two individual components, the T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver represented a complete solution that combined the functions of a particularly flexible source with those of a powerful stereo integrated amplifier.

The T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver presents itself in the tradition of the T+A E-series, which has been on the market since 2007, and is equipped with the latest features that allow it to be used in a variety of ways. This receiver combines numerous functions, and even more, it represents a noble, extremely flexible high-end hi-fi system that is equipped for all requirements in the field of networked entertainment electronics. This makes it a true all-rounder that marks the perfect entry into the audiophile world of the T+A E-series.

The T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver not only has sufficient analogue inputs, it is of course also open to digital sources via a first-class D/A converter. In addition to an integrated CD drive for the playback of audio CDs, it offers an FM and DAB+ tuner, and via Bluetooth, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets can be easily integrated as sources. The integrated streaming client, however, makes this solution particularly versatile, as it allows access not only to Internet radio stations, but also to your own content on the network, and offers such as TIDAL, Deezer and Qobuz are available for direct access. Of course, it should not go unmentioned in this context that the T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver is also Roon Ready certified.

The power amplifier is based on the same circuit design as the T+A PA 1000 E Integrated Amplifier, offering two 115 Watt outputs for loudspeaker systems with an impedance of 8 Ohm, and two 180 Watt outputs for solutions with an impedance of only 4 Ohm. The basis for this is an oversized, load-stable power supply that relies on a toroidal transformer and features a large filter capacity as well as an elaborate stabilisation.

Numerous buttons and a generously designed display invite you to take control directly at the device, and there is also a matching infrared remote control and a suitable app, the T+A Control App for Apple iOS and Google Android.

Now T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG is now offering the T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver in a very special design variant, namely as a so-called Capsule Collection in the form of the new T+A R 1000 E White Edition.

It is thus the first Capsule Collection of this kind, whereby this term describes a very special form of a special model.

A Capsule Edition is a limited series, but the limiting factor here is not the number of units but rather the production period. In concrete terms, this means that T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG will manufacture the new T+A R 1000 E White Edition from December 2020 until April 2021.

This is a practice that is normally used in the watch and fashion industry.

According to T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG, this gives more customers access to a unique T+A device without losing its exclusivity and specialness. At the same time, a Capsule Collection gives the manufacturer the opportunity to launch special products within their existing collections.

From a purely technical point of view, the new T+A R 1000 E White Edition is, of course, the tried-and-tested T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver, which was described very briefly earlier, but which is now being offered as an alternative in an exclusive white finish for a short time.

With its combination of modern digital technology and classic analogue conversion, the T+A R 1000 E Multi Source Receiver is still a versatile all-rounder that outputs all conceivable sources, from CD, USB and streaming to radio, via its integrated amplifier in typical T+A sound quality.
