System Audio Stereo Hub equipped for Spotify HiFi and System Audio SA Cockpit App

The current firmware update for the System Audio Stereo Hub contains two major innovations. On the one hand, it creates the basis for supporting Spotify HiFi, and on the other hand, it introduces the new System Audio SA Cockpit App.

For some time now, System Audio A/S has been focusing on active loudspeaker systems, even though they still offer passive solutions. However, they see the future in these active speaker systems, especially in the form that System Audio A/S offers with the solutions of the System Audio Silverback Series.

The special feature of the active solutions from System Audio A/S is that they are “wireless” solutions, whereby the industry standard WiSA is used, so that not only stereo, but even surround can be realised completely “wirelessly”.

But while a little patience is still required for surround solutions, the stereo systems are constantly being pushed with new updates, as is the case now, with the latest update once again focusing on the System Audio Stereo Hub as the central component.

System Audio A/S itself describes the System Audio Stereo Hub as the most intelligent control centre on the market. It is this System Audio Stereo Hub that takes over the central control in a stereo system with active speakers from the System Audio Silverback Series. The speakers themselves have inputs, of course, but they are primarily focused on DSP-based signal processing and amplifier modules, the connection to the outside world, the central control, all this is handled by the System Audio Stereo Hub.

The System Audio Stereo Hub is the hub for all audio devices. This is where the TV, record player, CD player, computer or any other device that is to be integrated connects.

The System Audio Stereo Hub supports Google Chromecast, Apple Airplay, Bluetooth and Spotify Connect, and is thus also the central point for “wireless” devices, regardless of whether they use Apple iOS or Google Android.

The company promises uncompromising quality, as audio data with up to 24 bit and 192 kHz are supported. The signal transmission to the actual speakers also takes place in high quality, according to the manufacturer’s promise.

The latest firmware update should now create the basis for the said System Audio Stereo Hub to be ready for the new Spotify HiFi.

In addition to this, there is another innovation in the pipeline, namely support for the latest app for controlling the system, namely the new System Audio SA Cockpit app for Apple iOS and Google Android.

However, this new app is not yet available, so you will have to be patient for a while. What is clear, however, is that a number of very interesting optimisations can be expected.

The System Audio SA Cockpit app, which is of course still available to customers free of charge, contains the System Audio SA Room Service room correction developed by System Audio A/S for the System Audio Silverback Series speakers, an EQ for individual adjustments and many other functions, according to the manufacturer’s promise.

Getting to the point

System Audio A/S sees the System Audio Silverback Series as the speakers of the future, and even more so as the hi-fi, and subsequently also the home cinema system of the future. Active loudspeaker systems that are controlled “wirelessly” by means of the industry standard WiSA Technology, are equally suitable for stereo and surround, and can be optimally adapted to the room or the user’s individual preferences by means of DSP-based signal processing, while at the same time being flexibly accessible to a wide variety of sources via a central interface. This central interface is represented, among other things, by the System Audio Stereo Hub, for which a new firmware is once again offered, thus equipping it in particular for the new app, the System Audio SA Cockpit.
