Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless – Fit for every challenge

The new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless, which Sennheiser Consumer Audio GmbH is now presenting as another True Wireless in-ear headphone, is designed to guarantee athletes an outstanding audio experience. This solution, according to the manufacturer’s promise, is fit for any challenge and therefore ideally suited as a companion even for intensive workouts, whether outdoors or in the studio. In order to guarantee this, the new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless can be adjusted in many ways to suit individual needs and thus always offer a secure fit in the ear.

Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless for an exceptional sound experience

The new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless has a so-called Sennheiser TrueResponse driver, which was developed in Germany and has a diameter of 7 mm. The driver delivers powerful bass and clear treble, always free of distortion.

For signal transmission, the developers of the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless rely on Bluetooth 5.2 and thus enable support of the Bluetooth codecs SBC, AAC and aptX. The signal transmission thus takes place in the best case with “CD quality”, and not only with smartphones and tablets, but also with smartwatches, smart TVs and fitness devices, as the manufacturer emphasises, and thus wants to allow a seamless sound experience during sports in all imaginable scenarios.

Individual control over the sound

With the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless, users should have full control over how they experience the sound and their environment, according to the manufacturer’s promise. For this purpose, the so-called Adaptable Acoustic Function has been developed, which includes a selection of open and closed ear adapters, as well as suitable EQ settings for the Sennheiser Smart Control App, which is part of the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless.

The open ear adapters in combination with the Aware EQ settings reduce structure-borne noise and allow some outside noise to pass through for better situational awareness. In this mode, users hear less distracting sounds, such as their own heartbeat or footsteps, and more of their surroundings, such as traffic sounds or sirens.

On the other hand, those who prefer their own music in noisy gyms and want to stay absolutely focused will find the peace they need with the closed ear adapters and Focus EQ settings.

In addition to the Focus and Aware EQ settings in the Sennheiser Smart Control app, athletes can make individual presets via the Sound Check function.

The manufacturer has also equipped the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless with intuitive touch controls that allow the headphones to be personalised according to personal preferences and provide direct access to features such as audio navigation or voice assistants.

Always a secure fit in all application scenarios

“It is important for athletes to be able to concentrate fully on their sport and not have to worry about their earphones slipping out of place. They need an optimal fit that provides a secure fit and thus optimal sound even during extreme movements – for all individual ear shapes and sizes. That’s why, with the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless, we focused on creating a fully customisable solution for maximum comfort and a secure fit.”

David Holm, Sennheiser Sports Product Manager

The ergonomic design of the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless is designed to do just that, the manufacturer notes. The earphones can be customised with a choice of ear adapters in three sizes as well as four different ear fins to withstand any workout. With an IP54 rating, the Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless is dust and splash-proof, making it ready for sweat, a run in the rain and even workouts at the beach.

Long battery life

Of course, Sennheiser Consumer Audio GmbH also wants the new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless to boast a long battery life and promises a playing time of up to nine hours. Since a transport box, which can take over the function of a so-called power bank, is part of the scope of delivery, a further 18 hours of battery life are available via this.

Prices and availability

According to the manufacturer, the new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless can be ordered directly from the manufacturer with immediate effect and will be available from 3 May 2022. The recommended retail price is stated at € 129.90.

Getting to the point

Sennheiser Consumer Audio GmbH is convinced that the new Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless will provide an outstanding sound experience that can be adapted to individual requirements, thanks to the new Adaptable Acoustic Function in combination with a Sennheiser TrueResponse driver. In order to be perfectly equipped for any sporting activity, the new True Wireless In-ear headphones are also particularly robust and certified to IP54.
