Sennheiser CX True Wireless – At an attractive price…

Outstanding sound at an attractive price – this is how Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG is advertising the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless, which is also said to have a long battery life and is easy to operate.

The new in-ear headphones from Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG are described with all the adjectives that arouse interest in such a product. The new Sennheiser CX True Wireless are not only said to have an outstanding sound and optimum comfort, but also a long battery life and simple operation.

All of this is also available at a particularly attractive price, as the German specialist explicitly emphasises.

Sennheiser CX True Wireless – top quality

You can compromise on many things in life, but you should never compromise on good sound, says Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG is convinced and promises to offer nothing less than top quality with the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless.

The company claims that the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless even offers an outstanding audio experience.

Specially developed True Response driver

To achieve this, the developers relied on a so-called True Response driver specially designed for the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless, which has its origins in the solutions of the premium segment of the German specialist.

The acoustic system, which is completely developed and manufactured in Germany, is said to offer true high-fidelity sound, specifically deep bass, natural mids and clear, detailed highs.

Bluetooth 5.2 including aptX

As true true wireless in-ear headphones, the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless naturally rely on Bluetooth for signal transmission, whereby Bluetooth 5.2 is used. The Sennheiser CX True Wireless supports the audio codecs SBC and AAC as well as aptX, but interestingly no codec for signal transmission in hi-res audio. The playback thus corresponds approximately to “CD quality”, as long as you use aptX and thus smartphones with Google Android as well as portable audio players. For the Apple iPhone, only the lossy AAC is available.

Two microphones for telephony with only one earphone

Of course, the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless can also be used as a hands-free device in combination with smartphones. For this purpose, it is equipped with two microphones so that, according to the manufacturer, only one earphone can be used for telephone calls at a time.

Voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Apple Siri can also be used, which is mentioned here for the sake of completeness.

Sennheiser Smart Control App

Of course, a suitable app is also available for the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless, namely the Sennheiser Smart Control App for Apple iOS and Google Android.

First and foremost, it allows you to adjust the sound characteristics of the Sennheiser CX True Wireless with an equaliser to suit your own preferences, including a so-called bass boost, which can be called up via several presets.

Also with the help of the app, the voice playback can only be assigned to one headphone when used as a hands-free device, which we have already mentioned.

It is also possible to customise the control of the Sennheiser CX True Wireless by assigning the touch controls of the in-ear headphones to your own preferences.

Transport box as power bank

As befits such headphones, the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless naturally comes with a matching transport case that not only protects the headphones, but also charges them.

This transport case functions as a so-called power bank, i.e. it contains a battery itself, so that the battery life of the Sennheiser CX True Wireless can be extended from up to nine hours to up to 27 hours. The transport case itself, and thus also the Sennheiser CX True Wireless, is charged via USB.

The Sennheiser CX True Wireless is supposed to be activated automatically as soon as you take it out of the transport case and, conversely, automatically switch to standby mode as soon as you put it back into the transport case.

Resistant to splash water

The new Sennheiser CX True Wireless is IPX4 certified and therefore resistant to splashing water. This means that it can be used in almost any weather without any problems. In addition, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless has been designed to be robust.

High wearing comfort

The ergonomic design is primarily intended to ensure a high level of wearing comfort, but the earpieces are also supplied in four different sizes. This not only ensures a perfect fit in the ear canal, but also good shielding from ambient noise, even if no active noise cancellation is used.

“The CX True Wireless delivers truly superior sound at an affordable price. The earphones feature state-of-the-art technology and proven ergonomics developed based on user comfort studies. The CX True Wireless offers an outstanding personal audio experience that anyone can enjoy anywhere, anytime.”

Anton Zgurskiy, Product Manager at Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG

The new Sennheiser CX True Wireless is scheduled to be available from the beginning of July 2021 at a price of €129, with a choice of matt white or matt black.

Getting to the point
