Roon 2.0.47 and Roon ARC 1.0.63 - New service release

While software developer Roon Labs LLC. was still extremely committed in the last few months of 2024 and delivered one update after another for the Roon and Roon ARC apps, the first few weeks of the current year have been rather quiet. Now, however, new updates are being made available for both Roon and Roon ARC, although this is ultimately nothing more than a pure service release.

Some bugs have been fixed, so there would be nothing more to report if Roon Labs LLC. didn’t bring a little more structure to the nomenclature of its apps with this update.

Optimisation of user-friendliness and stability improvements

This update brings improved usability and important stability improvements for Roon and Roon ARC, according to the software company Roon Labs LLC.

For Roon, for example, scrolling on mobile devices has been improved, missing focus options have been restored and playback problems have been fixed, especially in conjunction with the KEF LS Wireless Collection speaker systems and Internet radio streams.

With Roon ARC, the update ensures that the data of the added albums is now always displayed without errors and the battery and GPU efficiency has been improved. According to Roon Labs LLC, connectivity and stability have also been optimised and various other bugs have been fixed.

New structure in the nomenclature

With the new updates, Roon Labs LLC. is finally providing more clarity regarding the versions of the apps. In this respect, the nomenclature was previously somewhat chaotic and in any case not really comprehensible.

Roon Labs LLC. now states that this version introduces an optimised system for naming the individual versions, which enables better tracking and organisation.

Roon 2.0.47 is now Roon Build 2.47.1510, and Roon ARC 1.0.63 is now Roon ARC Build 1.63.344. The last set of numbers in each release represents the specific build of the release to provide more clarity and consistency for future updates.
