Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack – Remote Control and Feet for Use in the Living Room
The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 may have been conceived for custom installation, but its compact format also lends itself to conventional HiFi and AV systems. With the Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack, the streaming amplifier gains four raised feet for freestanding placement and a dedicated remote control for everyday operation.
- The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack turns an installation-focused streaming amplifier into a more practical component for the living room. Raised feet improve its presentation and airflow, while the remote control provides immediate access to frequently used functions.
Some components are designed to disappear into an installation; others are expected to take their place on a sideboard and look as though they belong there. The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 sits intriguingly between those two worlds. Its slim form is particularly well suited to rack-based custom installations, yet the combination of streaming platform and amplification also makes it an appealing choice for a compact, visibly installed HiFi or AV system.
Naim Audio Ltd. is now addressing that second application with a remarkably straightforward accessory. The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack contains four raised feet and a dedicated remote control – two additions that do not alter the technical capabilities of the amplifier, but substantially change how and where it can be used.

Giving an installation amplifier a place in the room
The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 was developed as a flexible streaming amplifier for professionally planned audio installations. Its low-profile enclosure makes it easy to accommodate in a rack, while its ability to integrate televisions, music-streaming services and games consoles allows it to serve as the centre of a varied entertainment system.
For larger installations, it may also be combined with the Naim Audio CI-NAP 108 and Naim Audio CI-NAP 101 power amplifiers. None of this prevents the CI-Uniti 102 from operating as a conventional HiFi component, however. Its compact dimensions can be equally useful on a shelf, sideboard or media unit, particularly where a discreet but capable system is required.
The Accessory Pack is intended to make this type of installation feel less like a repurposed custom-installation product and more like a deliberately freestanding audio component.
Four feet with two practical purposes
The package includes four raised feet fitted to the underside of the Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102. They provide the ground clearance usually expected of a freestanding HiFi component and give the slim enclosure a more deliberate visual presence when it is placed directly on furniture.
That additional space beneath the chassis also assists air circulation. This is a useful practical detail when the amplifier is positioned on a sideboard, inside an open shelf or on other media furniture rather than installed in a dedicated equipment rack.
The feet therefore serve both design and functional purposes. They make the CI-Uniti 102 look more complete in a visible installation while creating more room for heat to dissipate beneath the enclosure.
Everyday control without reaching for a screen
The second component of the Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack is a dedicated remote control. It provides direct access to frequently used functions, including volume adjustment, mute and radio presets.
This may appear a modest addition, but it changes the character of everyday operation. Owners no longer need to open the Focal & Naim App on a smartphone or tablet simply to adjust the volume or mute the system. Nor does a higher-level home-control system have to be available for these basic commands.
The Focal & Naim App remains relevant for more comprehensive configuration. This includes adjustment of the integrated 4-band equaliser and configuration of the crossover between the Main and Aux outputs when the CI-Uniti 102 is used in a 2.1-channel system. The remote control complements the app rather than replacing it.
A small package that broadens the concept
The Accessory Pack does not add further inputs, streaming services or amplifier power. Its significance lies elsewhere: it removes some of the practical distinctions between a component designed for professional integration and one intended for everyday use in the living room.
For anyone already planning to hide the CI-Uniti 102 inside a rack and operate it through an automation system, the package may be unnecessary. For users who want the amplifier to remain visible and accessible, however, the combination of feet and remote control makes considerably more sense.
It also provides greater freedom when a system evolves. A CI-Uniti 102 originally installed as part of a larger project can be repositioned as a conventional standalone component without appearing out of place or depending entirely on app-based control.
The most important advantages at a glance
- Freestanding placement: The CI-Uniti 102 can be positioned neatly on a shelf, sideboard or media unit.
- Improved airflow: Raised feet create additional space beneath the amplifier for air circulation.
- Direct operation: Volume, mute and radio presets are available from the supplied remote control.
- Less reliance on mobile devices: Routine commands no longer require a smartphone or tablet.
- Independent basic control: Essential functions remain accessible without a central home-automation system.
- More coherent presentation: The feet give the slim amplifier a more complete appearance outside a rack.
- Greater flexibility: The CI-Uniti 102 can move more easily between custom-installation and conventional HiFi roles.

Getting to the point
The Naim Audio CI-Uniti 102 Accessory Pack adds no new audio features, yet it makes the streaming amplifier noticeably more practical for use beyond a dedicated installation rack. Its four raised feet provide a more convincing freestanding appearance and additional airflow, while the remote control makes routine operation considerably more immediate.
At € 69,-, the package is a sensible addition for anyone intending to place the CI-Uniti 102 visibly in a conventional HiFi or AV system. One could nevertheless argue that feet and direct remote operation might reasonably have been included as standard for customers using the amplifier in precisely this way.
