Kalista DreamPlay X – Partnership between Metronome Technology and Audirvana

With the Kalista DreamPlay X, the Kalista brand of the French high-end hi-fi manufacturer Metronome Technologie offers an outstanding Super Audio CD player that can also be used as a D/A converter, streaming client and preamplifier, depending on the configuration. It is not without reason that the French company calls it a 4-in-1 device, which also corresponds to the highest quality and presents itself with a fascinating design.

Metronome Technologie and Audirvana SAS cooperate

Metronome Technologie has announced a special offer for users of a Kalista DreamPlay X, who can now use the software Audirvana Origin or Audirvana Studio in a particularly flexible way and with the best possible quality.

This is made possible by a deepening of the cooperation between Metronome Technologie and the French software company Audirvana SAS, which will now also include the Kalista DreamPlay X.

Audirvana Studio and Audirvana Origin

For years, Audirvana Studio has been an extremely flexible way to play back hi-res audio data on a PC running Microsoft Windows or a Mac running Apple macOS. What makes this software so special is the way it processes audio data by bypassing the relevant components of the operating system and performing this subtle task itself.

This also allows various signal optimisations, such as upsampling or various filters, even the use of room correction measures is possible.

In addition, this software has grown into a versatile solution over the years, thus also allowing the flexible management of an entire media library and can even be controlled via the corresponding Audirvana Remote App using a smartphone with Apple iOS and Google Android. A PC or Mac thus mutates into a very versatile, very high-quality source device, of course in combination with a corresponding external converter such as the Kalista DreamPlay X.

The software allows the user to search his media library according to various criteria, to edit titles, to create playlists, and direct access to streaming services such as TIDAL, Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO is also possible with this solution, as well as Internet radio and podcasts.

While Audirvana Studio can be used in the form of an annually paid subscription, Audirvana Origin is a variant for which you only have to pay once to be able to use it.

As part of the collaboration between Metronome Technology and Audirvana SAS, customers who choose a Kalista DreamPlay X will receive the licence for Audirvana Origin, but also a two-year subscription to Audirvana Studio.

As described, the use of Audirvana Origin or Audirvana Studio is part of the Kalista DreamPlay X for two years. This means that there are no additional costs for the buyer.
