IFA 2022 – Berlin as a stage for the global tech world

In September, Berlin will once again become the stage for the global tech world, according to the announcement by Messe Berlin GmbH, which has now officially announced 2-6 September 2022 as the date for IFA 2022.

IFA 2022 will bring together the world’s leading brands in consumer electronics, household appliances, information technology and telecommunications, Messe Berlin GmbH said in its release, now officially announcing 2-6 September 2022 as the date for the trade show event in the German capital. The organiser is convinced that this will be a unique opportunity and platform for the relaunch of the global industry in the run-up to the most important season for international retail.

High demand, many global brands have already confirmed their participation

The organiser Messe Berlin GmbH expressly emphasises that interest in the industry is immensely high. Many global brands have already been secured as exhibitors, so that a rich spectrum of manufacturers from the various sectors will be represented in Berlin.

“It is time again to host a global trade fair for the tech industry. On the grounds of Messe Berlin and in a city that is not only the capital of Europe’s largest consumer market, but has also developed into a European media centre. Almost all global brands have already confirmed their participation. We are already seeing high demand for the Fitness & Digital Health and Home Appliances segments.”

I FA 2022 as a tailor-made solution

IFA claims to be a global, neutral and high-quality platform for brands, with the event offering a flexible, tailor-made solution for participants from industry, trade and the media.

As before, the concept is based on an optimal mix of B2B and B2C elements, thus offering the opportunity to present products and brands in a unique context to both trade visitors and end customers.

The organiser thus sees IFA 2022 once again as a showcase for the industry as well as a reality check for innovations before the eyes of real consumers. The trade fair is therefore indispensable for experts as well as the public and the media, especially since, according to Messe Berlin GmbH, it is at IFA that most of the world’s product innovations are presented each year, which are then made available to consumers at the end of the year.

Optimistic forecast for autumn

The organiser assumes that the fair will be able to take place under “normal” conditions as far as possible, because all signs indicate that the situation surrounding the pandemic will ease considerably over the summer into early autumn. This should also be an optimal prerequisite for international visitors to be able to attend IFA 2022 without any problems.

“Based on current assessments and forecasts of the global situation, IFA 2022 has the potential to be the first truly global show for the CE industry since the pandemic began, offering extremely high visibility and relevance to industry, trade and media. The industry has a strong desire to return to a presence event and we are committed to making this a reality in a safe and successful way in Berlin in September.”

Getting to the point

After Messe Berlin GmbH’s efforts in the last two years to somehow smoothly stage the IFA in Berlin, developing a wide variety of concepts for this purpose, but ultimately not really succeeding, it looks very good for this September that IFA 2022, as now planned for 2-6 September, can once again function as an industry and communication platform for industry, trade and media, as well as a showcase for consumers who want to find out about current trends and the latest products.
