Hegel H390 and Hegel H590 now Roon Ready

Now the time has come, also the Hegel H390 and Hegel H590 have passed all certification processes at Roon Labs LLC. and can now be designated as Roon Ready. This means that the Norwegian high-end HiFi manufacturer Hegel Music Systems can now present two more important products with this certification, in this case two stereo integrated amplifiers with integrated streaming client.

The first solutions that Hegel Music Systems equipped for direct use with the media management and multi-room audio streaming software from Roon Labs LLC. were the two stereo integrated amplifiers Hegel H120 and Hegel H190.

With the two solutions Hegel H390 and Hegel H590, which are now also designated as Roon Ready, there are now four stereo integrated amplifiers with integrated streaming client that are ready for Roon.

Hegel SoundEngine 2 as the basis

Also with the two stereo integrated amplifiers Hegel H390 and Hegel H590, as with the smaller siblings Hegel H120 and Hegel H190, the so-called Hegel SoundEngine 2 serves as the basis for the streaming functionality. So far, it was possible for the user to play back content via the network, first and foremost with the help of the industry standard UPnP, but Apple AirPlay was also supported. With the help of the latest firmware, Roon is now also added.

Hegel Music Systems states that they have been working on this implementation for quite some time, but this process was fraught with some unforeseeable hurdles that had to be overcome, so that the delays came about and the promised functionality can only be delivered now.
