Gold Note P-1000 MKII – In a new gloss…

From now on, the Gold Note P-1000 preamplifier from Gold Note will shine in new splendor in the form of the new Gold Note P-1000 MKII, which picks up the current design line of the Italian hi-fi forge and will thus continue to fit seamlessly into the ranks of high-end electronics from Florence.

The Gold Note P-1000 preamplifier naturally plays an essential role in the product line of electronic components from the Italian high-end smithy Gold Note; after all, it is considered the central interface of a hi-fi chain. Gold Note now presents this preamplifier in a new guise, in the form of the new Gold Note P-1000 MKII, which is entirely in the latest design line of the Italians.

“The pre amplifier changes its clothes and now wears the iconic Gold Note design inspired by the Catenary Curve!”

The previous features of the Gold Note P-1000 preamplifier from Gold Note have not changed at all, and the Gold Note P-1000 MKII now presents itself in the same guise as the other solutions of the Gold Note 1000 series, thus relying on a design that, according to Gold Note, was inspired by the so-called catenary curve, i.e. a rope curve, catenoid or chain curve. In concrete terms, this means that the case has milled cut-outs on the sides and on the top, which practically serve to provide optimum ventilation for the electronics.

The Gold Note P-1000 MKII presents itself as a Class A pre-amplifier and is aimed at true music lovers. The Gold Note P-1000 MKII is a Class A preamplifier and is aimed at true music lovers. It features a so-called Six Gain Stage Design as well as volume control via relays and optical ALPS Ecnoder. The circuit design relies on the finest components and offers a wide range of functions that guarantee flexible use, such as Left/ Right Channel Swap, Mono/ Stereo Selection, Absolute Phase Swap and a special Booster Technology for particularly accurate reproduction in the lowest frequency range. All this can be controlled very easily via a display on the front panel with rotary encoder, the manufacturer calls this Single Knob Control Rotary Joggle, and an infrared remote control.

This solution does not lack inputs, since not only four unbalanced inputs but also four balanced inputs are available. Of course, unbalanced RCA connectors as well as balanced XLR connectors are also available for the outputs.

Once again, the developers of the new Gold Note P-1000 MKII have opted for a modular design so that customers can expand this preamp even further. The Gold Note TUBE-1012 and Gold Note TUBE-1006 are tube output stages that can be connected via the corresponding connectors on the rear panel of the Gold Note P-1000 MKII and replace the solid state output stage. Even though the Gold Note P-1000 MKII comes with a powerful power supply based on three independent Linear Power Supply Units, the Gold Note PSU-1250 or Gold Note PSU-1000 is still available for optional expansions, whereby the manufacturer refers to these as external Super Inductive Power Supplies.

The new Gold Note P-1000 MKII will be available in the design variants black, gold and silver. The new Gold Note P-1000 MKII measures 430 x 135 x 375 m and weighs 11 kg.

The new Gold Note P-1000 MKII will soon be available in specialist shops.
