Gold Note IS-1000 LINE – From now on also without phono stage.

The Gold Note IS-1000 is an outstanding all-in-one system of the high-end class. This Gold Note 1000 series solution combines an amplifier with a streaming client, D/A converter and a phono preamplifier. Gold Note now dispenses with the latter in the new Gold Note IS-1000 LINE.

Many a renowned manufacturer has attracted attention in recent years with innovative concepts that completely meet the new demands of customers for modern hi-fi systems, thus combining the classic high-end hi-fi virtues with all the possibilities of a networked world. The Gold Note IS-1000 is a solution from Italy, from the renowned high-end hi-fi manufacturer Gold Note in the form of the Gold Note IS-1000, which combines a modern streamer and a DAC with a perfectly equipped stereo integrated amplifier, plus a very fine phono pre-amplifier. A strategy that worked out perfectly, as our detailed test of this outstanding solution in the form of the Gold Note IS-1000 showed.

The Gold Note IS-1000 can thus be described as an audiophile all-in-one, which ultimately leaves nothing to be desired, because all components are of such a high standard that they can easily match solutions that offer this on their own in the form of individual components.

Now the Italian high-end hi-fi forge presents a new variation of the Gold Note IS-1000, the Gold Note IS-1000 LINE. In this context, it is actually forbidden to claim that this is a “slimmed down” version of the previous Gold Note IS-1000, because this would give a much too negative impression, and that is not at all appropriate. It is rather the case that with the new Gold Note IS-1000 LINE, Gold Note wants to offer an alternative to the previous Gold Note IS-1000, for all those who do not own a record player and do not want to rely on records in the future. The Gold Note IS-1000 LINE does without the phono preamplifier, but the other features remain unchanged.

The new Gold Note IS-1000 LINE is therefore the perfect all-in-one solution for “digital audiophiles”, as the Italians put it.

The powerful amplifier is based on the integrated streaming client as the primary playing partner, further digital sources can be integrated via the integrated D/A converter. Of course, the new Gold Note IS-1000 LINE also offers the option to exchange the standard version of the D/A converter, a Texas Instruments PCM1796 Burr Brown DAC for a Texas Instruments PCM1792A Burr Brown DAC in the Gold Note IS-1000 DAC Deluxe version.

The new Gold Note IS-1000 LINE is expected to be available in stores shortly. Of course, the customer can also choose between three extremely elegant design versions of the impeccably finished aluminium case, namely silver, gold and black.
