FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android – Now with MQA Core Decoder for FiiO X Series

The FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android is now available for a wide range of DAP models from personal audio device specialist FiiO Electronics Technology Co. Ltd, including the FiiO M Range and the FiiO X Range. The new version includes a number of innovations, the most notable of which is a now optional MQA Core Decoder for the FiiO X Series Google Android Player models. Another new feature is the implementation of a user account system, which will probably be used by FiiO Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. for many options in the future.

FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android with new User Account System

FiiO Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. states that the new user account system is available for the portable players and, for example, a smartphone with the FiiO Music App, but also for the manufacturer’s forum. In addition, this system will probably be used primarily for so-called in-app purchases in the future.

New MQA Core Decoder for FiiO X Series

Such an option is currently already available in the form of an MQA Core Decoder, which is offered as an option for the DAP of the FiiO X Series. This offers the possibility to use MQA encoded content on the FiiO X5, FiiO X7 and FiiO X7II.

However, this option is not offered for the players of the FiiO M Series, as these DAP models already have the option of playing back content encoded in MQA. This affects the DAP models FiiO M17, FiiO M11 Plus, FiiO M15, M11 Pro and FiiO M11.

Various other innovations

Other new features of the FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android include built-in CUE, built-in Lyrics, the multimedia service WebDAC and much more, according to the manufacturer.

The new version of the app now offers a function for displaying the DAC name and the current sampling rate in USB Audio mode, the volume control function in USB Audio mode has been improved, and also the display of various areas of the menu navigation.

In addition, the new version of the FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android fixes several bugs and optimises performance.

The new FiiO Music App v3.1.0 for Google Android is available immediately, and can of course be downloaded directly from the corresponding menus of the FiiO X Series and FiiO M Series DAP models. The manufacturer also offers the appropriate download links in the support section of its website.

The new optional MQA Core Decoder for the FiiO X Series models is also available now, at a cost of US$ 1,99.
