Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W – First True Wireless In-ear Headphones from Denon

These are the first so-called true wireless in-ear headphones that the Japanese brand Denon is now offering for the European market: Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W. Premium HiFi sound is to be combined with innovative features here.

With the models Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W, the Japanese audio manufacturer Denon is celebrating a premiere, as these are the first so-called True Wireless In-ear headphones from Denon available on the European market.

While the Denon AH-C630W model should prove to be a high-quality product with a very attractive price, the Denon AH-C830NCW is even available as a model with active noise cancellation, also at a pleasingly low price.

Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W with Premium HiFi Sound

Denon promises to offer in-ear headphones with premium hi-fi sound in the form of the Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W solutions, which are on the quality level that one would expect from solutions from the Japanese specialist.

In addition, these solutions not only offer products for relaxed music enjoyment, but are also equipped in such a way that one can count on a reliable tool for best quality and comfort at work. Of course, this applies first and foremost to the Denon AH-C830NCW model with active noise cancellation.

The right time

Now is exactly the right time to debut True Wireless in-ear headphones in the European market, announces Sound United LLC, the parent company of the Denon brand.

State-of-the-art, extra-large drivers

The basis for these quite ambitious goals are first and foremost special drivers, the manufacturer speaks of ultra-modern, extra-large drivers.

In fact, the Denon AH-C630W already uses a dynamic driver with a diameter of 10 mm, while the Denon AH-C830NCW is also equipped with a dynamic driver, but with an oval shape measuring 11 x 10 mm.

According to the company, both models have been extensively tested and optimally tuned by the Denon Soundmasters, a special panel of experts. This is to ensure that the Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W solutions deliver an extremely realistic sound.

Bluetooth 5.0 with only SBC or SBC and AAC

Both models use Bluetooth 5.0 for signal transmission, although the Denon AH-C630W relies solely on the lossy SBC codec. The Denon AH-C830NCW at least offers AAC as an additional codec.

Thanks to Google Fast Pair, the Denon AH-C830NCW is particularly easy to connect to other compatible devices.

Denon AH-C830NCW with Active Noise Cancelling

As described, the Denon AH-C830NCW is said to score with Active Noise Cancelling, providing powerful, detailed sound free from outside interference at all times.

The Active Noise Cancelling system, or ANC for short, is said to be Denon’s latest generation, with two microphones in each earbud and advanced processing to ensure that ambient noise is effectively suppressed. By simply tapping on the touch sensor, the so-called transparency mode is activated in order to perceive outside noises again. A wear sensor detects when the Earbuds are put on or removed and starts or pauses the music accordingly.

Both models can of course be used as hands-free devices, but the Denon AH-C830NCW also has special features in this regard.

Denon AH-C830NCW equipped for the best voice quality

To ensure that voices are captured and transmitted more clearly than is the case with conventional models, the Denon AH-C830NCW offer a so-called beamforming function.

Here, two microphones work together with the digital signal processing of the headphones, while a third microphone makes use of the natural shielding of the ear canal against wind and noise to further improve speech quality.

Of course, the little brother Denon AH-C630W also has a high-quality microphone to provide good voice quality during phone calls, for example.

Performance, comfort and durability

According to the manufacturer, the perfect shape of the Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W True Wireless Earbuds was developed using extensive ear canal simulations. For maximum wearing comfort, each pair comes with easily interchangeable silicone earmoulds in three sizes. Both headphone models are sweat and water resistant to IPX4 rating, so they can be worn in the rain and during strenuous exercise.

Long battery life

The in-ear headphones from Denon are designed for extra-long listening pleasure. When fully charged, they offer up to six hours of wireless music enjoyment via Bluetooth in the case of the Denon AH-C830NCW or up to four and a half hours in the case of the Denon AH-C630W – and a total of up to 24 hours (Denon AH-C830NCW) or 18 hours (Denon AH-C630W) if they are also charged with the supplied charging case. The included USB-C cable allows the lithium-ion battery of the charging case to be charged via any USB charger or computer.

Two design variants available

Both models are offered in a choice of black or white, with the Denon AH-C830NCW model said to feature a glossy finish with silver accents. The Denon AH-C630 has a matte finish.

Both in-ear headphones from Denon will be available immediately. The recommended retail price for the Denon AH-C830NCW is € 159,- and for the Denon AH-C630W € 99,-.

Getting to the point

The new True Wireless In-ear headphones Denon AH-C830NCW and Denon AH-C630W are primarily intended for users who do not want to do without first-class sound, high comfort and optimal voice quality during calls, even when travelling, at work or during leisure activities, and all this at an affordable price. At least that is how Sound United LLC. rates these two new solutions from the Denon brand. The assessment that they bring products to the market that stand out from all others on the market is, however, a little too optimistic…
