Dali EQUI Wireless – The new platform for wireless streaming audio systems

Dali Speaker A/S now presents Dali EQUI Wireless, a new platform that is intended to encompass all available and future wireless streaming audio systems. The aim is to offer a product family of streaming speakers and electronics for any combination in the field of stereo and home cinema.

You could say that with Dali EQUI Wireless, what belongs together comes together. With Dali EQUI, the Danish loudspeaker specialist Dali Speaker A/S is founding a new product family that is to unite all solutions in the field of wireless streaming audio systems that have been offered so far and will be available in the future.

Dali EQUI Wireless includes the systems of the Dali CALLISTO C Series as well as those of the Dali RUBICON C Series and Dali OBERON C Series and should also form the basis for exciting new developments in this area.

Dali EQUI Wireless – The same…

The special feature of all the solutions in the area of wireless streaming audio systems from Dali Speaker A/S is to be underlined directly by the name of the new platform or product family, so Dali EQUI Wireless essentially stands for “the same”.

With this, Dali Speaker A/S means first and foremost the same authentic sound that the solutions of the Danes are supposed to offer, but ultimately this restructuring goes much further than it seems at first glance.

Three product series, one platform

As already mentioned, Dali Speaker A/S currently offers three product series that essentially follow the same strategy, namely to function as high-quality active loudspeaker systems designed for wireless signal transmission.

Dali CALLISTO C, Dali RUBICON C and Dali OBERON C

First of all there is the Dali CALLISTO C Series, which is already available in its second generation, the Dali RUBICON C Series and of course the Dali OBERON C Series.

With all these model series, Dali Speaker A/S quite rightly speaks of wireless hi-fi systems, which can be understood as the most innovative, most modern form of interpreting a hi-fi chain.

The Modern HiFi System

The systems are all designed in such a way that ultimately all the tasks of a modern hi-fi system can be performed with them, but they are broken down to the really essentials when it comes to construction.

They are active loudspeaker systems of the finest kind, wirelessly controlled via a hub, which on the one hand takes over the central, intuitive control, itself serves as a flexible source via streaming, but also for connection with other source devices.

Dali Speaker A/S immediately lists a multitude of features that connect all the product series mentioned and thus justify a restructuring of these solutions under the term Dali EQUI Wireless.

Active systems with lossless digital signal transmission

The company says that Dali EQUI stands first and foremost for active loudspeaker systems that provide the best possible control and appealing performance. The signal transmission is digital in order to guarantee an absolutely loss-free music reproduction, even if it is wireless, which is another important point.

Dali EQUI Wireless – Modular design for flexible combination and expansion

Another very important aspect is that Dali EQUI is a modular solution, which means that numerous speaker combinations are also possible. This also means that the user can expand a system as desired, the platform is therefore scalable.

From the point of view of Dali Speaker A/S, this is probably a very important point, which was not so obvious in the previous structuring based solely on the product series and which will now be brought much more into focus.

It is also exciting that Dali Speaker A/S now explicitly points out that Dali EQUI Wireless is not only a solution for classic stereo, but that surround sound is also possible.

The fact that Dali Speaker A/S has plans in this regard has been obvious in principle from the very beginning, but we assume that concrete solutions will soon be available…

At least the company is now talking about the possibility of wireless playback from HiFi stereo to 7.1-channel surround for home cinema around Dali EQUI Wireless.
