It is a product area that Bang & Olufsen cannot ignore, Bluetooth speakers for mobile use. That’s why the Danish company is now presenting its new addition to the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Series, the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore.

With the new Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore, Bang & Olufsen wants to offer a Bluetooth speaker that is completely designed for outdoor use and thus equipped for every adventure.

Bang & Olufsen is following a trend that hardly any manufacturer in the field of portable devices such as Bluetooth speakers can or wants to avoid, namely that users want to use such solutions not only indoors, but also outdoors.

Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore – Equipped for all weathers

For this, Bluetooth speakers must of course be designed to be particularly robust, and this is exactly what the new Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore is supposed to be.

The manufacturer speaks not only of a robust, but even particularly resistant Bluetooth speaker, which is thus equipped for all adventures.

The new Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore is IP67 certified, making it not only dustproof but also waterproof.

Compact design

To ensure that the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore can be taken anywhere, the housing is cylindrical and very compact. This means it should fit in any backpack.

Alternatively, the new Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore has been equipped with an aluminium carabiner that allows it to be attached directly to the backpack. An integrated loop allows the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore to be worn on the wrist, for example.

So that the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore does not become a burden, it weighs only 631 g, which is certainly not the lightest representative of its class, but still light enough to take it with you without any problems.

To ensure that the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore can be gripped in the truest sense of the word even in somewhat damp weather, the surface of the aluminium housing is designed to provide a secure grip.

The controls are designed so that you should be able to operate them even when wearing gloves.

Rich sound and long battery life

Despite the compact dimensions, the manufacturer promises rich, sonorous playback for many, many hours.

After all, the manufacturer claims up to 27 hours of playback time for the new Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore, whereby this applies to a “normal” volume. More than enough to get by for a weekend outdoors without a charger.

The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore is charged via USB, as has long been standard in this class.

Reminiscence of Scandinavian fjords

Inspired by the forests, glaciers and fjords typically found in Scandinavian landscapes, the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore is available in Black Anthracite, Green or Grey Mist.

It is available immediately – with one exception – at the recommended retail price of € 199,-. The Green version will not follow until summer 2021.
