Audirvana relies on Cross-platform License

At the end of March 2020, the French software company Audirvana will adapt its previous pricing model. On the one hand, there will be a price increase for the Audirvana software, but this new price will now include the previously optionally available Remote Apps. In addition, one license now includes versions for Apple OS X and Microsoft Windows.

The French software company Audirvana has earned an impeccable reputation in recent years as the developer of the software player of the same name, Audirvana. Originally designed as an audiophile extension for Apple iTunes, it was developed for Apple OS X. The task was to take the actual audio processing out of Apple’s software and make it much more accurate for optimal results. Gradually, the range of functions was extended, so that the Audirvana software became a versatile audiophile audio player that even had media management and streaming functionality. Initially available for Apple OS X alone, the French also developed a version for Microsoft Windows, which, with Audirvana 3.5, has the same range of functions and design on both platforms, with optional remote apps for Apple iOS and Google Android.
Audirvana is now changing its distribution strategy. Up to now, you had to decide whether to purchase the version for Apple OS X or Microsoft Windows, but now you are opting for a cross-platform license, i.e. you purchase a license that is valid for both platforms.

Unfortunately, this is accompanied by a price increase, because up to now you had to pay € 65,- plus the respective sales tax in the country of the buyer for Audirvana 3.5. From now on, Audirvana 3.5 costs € 98,- and includes, as described, the license for Apple OS X as well as Microsoft Windows. This is especially interesting because with one license you can always install the software on two systems.

In addition, the Audirvana Remote Apps for Apple iOS and Google Android are now free of charge for buyers and thus part of this newly established license.

Getting to the point

Audirvana is now changing its distribution strategy. Previously, you had to decide whether to purchase the version for Apple OS X or Microsoft Windows, but now you are opting for a cross-platform license, i.e. you purchase a license that is valid for both platforms. In addition, the Audirvana Remote Apps for Apple iOS and Google Android are now a free component for buyers.
