Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear

Audeze Euclid is the name of the headphones that the manufacturer Audeze LLC. calls Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear. These are said to be the world’s first closed-back in-ear headphones that use Audeze planar driver technology.

The company Audeze LLC. is known as a proven headphone specialist, with one driver technology in particular, the so-called Audeze planar driver technology. This technology is expected to deliver a particularly accurate performance and therefore describes the headphones as true high-end solutions.

What is particularly interesting here is that Audeze LLC. is no longer content with implementing the said Audeze planar driver technology in over-ear or on-ear headphones, but has also entered the field of in-ear headphones, which is of course much more complex from a technological point of view.

The latest headphone model, which Audeze LLC. is now presenting, is also to be assigned to the in-ear headphone segment, whereby it is once again to be a world premiere. Audeze LLC. calls the new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear headphones, which means that they are closed in-ear headphones based on the Audeze planar driver technology. The first of its kind, so, as just described, a world premiere.

According to the manufacturer, the new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear headphones are intended to prove that high-end sound can also be realised in the smallest format. The new in-ear headphones offer everything that makes up the powerful-sounding Audeze planar driver technology, which was initially developed for pure high-end hi-fi solutions, but has been constantly developed and refined over the years and at the same time optimised for use in even the most compact headphones.

This means that the new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear also features a wide range of patented features, such as Audeze Uniforce tracks, Audeze Fluxor magnets and Audeze Fazor waveguides.

At the heart of this is an 18 mm planar driver, which features the technologies just mentioned and is thus supposed to offer just as outstanding sound quality as its big brothers do. The new in-ear headphones, according to the manufacturer’s promise, are said to offer incorruptible phase fidelity with a completely linear frequency response and a distortion factor of less than 0.1 per cent, as well as the highest sound pressure of all closed in-ear headphones of its size. In combination with a high sensitivity of an astonishing 110 dB/ mW, it is said to be able to reproduce a dynamic range that simply puts the competition in the shade. The new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear can therefore clearly be seen as the new reference in this “weight class”.

All this is packed into an ergonomically designed aluminium housing, milled from one piece with the highest precision. This gives the Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear not only the necessary stability with very low weight, but also an extremely elegant design, especially since the surface is anodised in matt black.

A very important aspect of in-ear headphones in general is always an optimal fit, and this does not only result from the shape of the housing, but also from the earpieces that are ultimately used. These must be available in sufficient numbers and in different shapes to guarantee the user the choice of the optimal pair for his or her individual needs. This is the only way to guarantee optimal sound reproduction over the entire frequency range, as well as comfortable use over many hours.

The Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear comes with a variety of different earpieces, including silicone earpieces, Comply Foam earpieces and SpinFit earpieces.

Especially in the area of high-end solutions, and the new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear is supposed to play in this category, a changeable cable is virtually indispensable. With in-ear headphones, experience shows that the cable is the “weakest link” in the chain when it comes to longevity, so it should be possible to change it at any time. In addition, this gives the user a wide range of options, for example, when it comes to operating the headphones on different unbalanced or balanced connections.

  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 07
  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 08
  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 09
  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 10
  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 11
  • Audeze Euclid Closed back Planar Magnetic In ear 12

To ensure that the cable can be changed easily, the developers of these in-ear headphones use the tried-and-tested MMCX connector, which is gold-plated.

The Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear headphones are delivered from the factory with an unbalanced cable, which therefore ends in a classic 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack connector. A suitable balanced cable will be offered as an accessory, but for the sake of completeness, the user can also look around on the accessories market.

This MMCX connector also makes it possible not to rely on cables alone, because Audeze LLC. also offers an optional Bluetooth module for the new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear.

The new Audeze Euclid Closed-back Planar Magnetic In-ear is available immediately from specialist dealers. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is € 1,499.
