Advance Paris MyConnect 60 – Small audiophile Allrounder…

French Hi-fi manufacturer Advance Acoustic now presents another versatile solution from the Advance Paris brand: the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60, a fine All-in-one system that belongs to the Micro Hi-fi class but offers impressive flexibility despite its compact dimensions.

Advance Acoustic has for some time been pursuing a strategy of developing particularly compact yet extremely versatile solutions under the Advance Paris brand, aimed first and foremost at a target group that wants to integrate modern hi-fi systems as harmoniously as possible into its living environment. It is now already a separate product range, which can be called the Advance Paris MyConnect Series. The company itself speaks in this context of all-in-one solutions, which are intended to function as true all-round talents in a compact form, offering versatile networking and streaming functions as well as extensive connection options for a wide range of source devices.

The spectrum here ranges from the comparatively powerful Advance Paris MyConnect 150, which was launched at the beginning of this year, to the very compact Advance Paris MyConnect 50, which was launched in 2018 and is now being succeeded by the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60.

Advance Acoustic calls the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 a streaming amplifier and all-in-one system with DAB+, an audiophile all-rounder in a compact format, because it combines amplifier, tuner, CD player with streaming over the network and Bluetooth in the smallest possible form.

At the heart of the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 is, of course, an amplifier, which is a Class AB amplifier. The manufacturer emphasizes this quite explicitly, because they didn’t want to go for Class D despite the most compact dimensions. The French are convinced that Class AB is superior to Class D in terms of acoustic performance and promise a very dynamic, clear sound for high authenticity and detail reproduction. The amplifier has two 70 watt outputs, so that a conventional living room can also be provided with sound without any problems in combination with high-quality loudspeaker systems.

The integrated CD drive is the ideal source, and both FM and DAB+ tuners are available. The new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 is particularly flexible when it comes to streaming, because as soon as it is connected to the network via cable or WiFi, it functions as a dlna-certified UPnP streaming client and can access a wide range of streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, TIDAL and Qobuz. Internet radio is also available via TuneIn, and the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 is Apple AirPlay compatible. Smartphones, tablets, notebooks and other portable devices can be directly integrated as sources via Bluetooth.

Of course, interfaces are also available for the integration of external sources, both analogue and digital. The phono preamplifier of the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 is designed for drives equipped with MM pickup systems. The digital interfaces include a USB A port, which can be used to connect storage media as source. The signal processing of digital data is done by a high quality DAC of type Wolfson WM8740. A Pre Out or Record Out as well as a separate connection for subwoofers is also included. Directly on the front panel there is also a connection for headphones in the form of a 6.3 mm stereo jack socket.

If desired, the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 can be operated directly on the device. The front panel offers a generous display, numerous buttons and a rotary encoder. Of course, an infrared remote control is also included, and for streaming functionality, the French hi-fi forge naturally offers a matching app for Apple iOS and Google Android.

The design of the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 is based on the solutions of the Advance Paris Smartline, i.e. it has a front in high-gloss black or high-gloss white, with white lighting and silver control elements providing an attractive contrast.

The new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 measures no more than 13.6 x 25.6 x 38.5, making it 5.5 kg.

According to the manufacturer, the new Advance Paris MyConnect 60 should already be available in specialist shops these days. The recommended retail price is stated at € 790.
