KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply - New in the KECES Pier Series

With the new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply, Huikank Electronic Co. Ltd. once again expands its range of power supplies under the KECES Audio brand, namely with a solution that is intended first and foremost as a reliable power supply under all conceivable conditions, of course, but also as a particularly flexible tool.

No less than four zones can be operated with the new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply, whereby the spectrum ranges from the replacement of various plug-in power supplies to a USB isolator.

KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply – The alternative for various plug-in power supplies

Under the brand name KECES Audio, the Taiwanese specialist Huikank Electronic Co. Ltd. already offers countless solutions for an optimal power supply. They deal with power supplies that are designed for conventional hi-fi components such as amplifiers, CD players and the like, i.e. for devices with 230 V AC, but also systems that are designed as a replacement for the power supply based on so-called plug-in power supplies.

The new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply belongs to the second category, whereby it stands out first and foremost because it can cover a wide range of different requirements.

From the KECES Pier Series

The KECES Pier Series, to which the new KECES P14 belongs, is already a very broadly positioned product line offered by the KECES Audio brand. This is directly below the top model of the product line, the KECES P28 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply, which from a technical point of view is very similar to the latest solution, but has six zones, whereas the new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply has four.

KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply with four separate zones

As a basis for an accurate power supply free of disturbing external influences, the new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply relies on a particularly high-quality toroidal transformer and a completely newly developed circuit design, which, according to the manufacturer, is free of any IC and is thus designed to be completely analogue.

As already mentioned, the power supply offers four completely independently designed zones, three of which serve as replacements for classic plug-in power supplies.

Zone 1 provides 5 V, 7 V, 9 V or 12 V at 4 A, zone 2 can provide 12 V, 15 V, 19 V or even 24 V and 6 A. Zone 3, on the other hand, is designed for a choice of 5 V, 7 V, 9 V or 12 V at 4 A. Zone 2 provides 12 V, 15 V, 19 V or even 24 V and 6 A. Zone 3, in turn, is designed for either 5 V or 9 V at 2 A.

This leaves one more zone, zone 4 of the KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply, which is a variant designed as a USB port that provides 5 V and 2 A. It is interesting to note that not only the zone 4 is designed for 5 V and 2 A, but also for 9 V and 2 A.

It is interesting that not only a USB-A port, but also a USB-B port can be found on the back, whereby this is described as a signal loop.

In fact, there is a so-called USB isolator hidden here, which is supposed to offer the full signal rate of 1.5 Mbps up to 12 Mbps and supports audio signals in PCM with up to 24 bit and 96 kHz as well as DSD, as the manufacturer states.

Quantum Resonance Technology

It is a feature that Huikank Electronic Co. Ltd. has used in other KECES Audio solutions, and which is now also found in the new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply, namely Quantum Resonance Technology.

According to the manufacturer, this is supposed to ensure that a subtle field is generated that makes all electromechanical components vibrate in unison in order to improve coherence and timing.

Much more “tangible” are features such as a very solidly constructed housing made of aluminium, which comes up with a very elegant design line and rests on newly designed feet that are supposed to guarantee optimal decoupling.

The KECEC P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply measures 300 x 279 x 66 mm and thus weighs around 7 kg.

Of course, it should also be emphasised that the KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply features, among other things, elegant VU meters on the front, which will probably please many a hi-fi enthusiast.

The new KECES P14 Ultra Low Noise Linear Power Supply will celebrate its premiere at the High End 2023 in Munich. The recommended retail price for this solution will also be communicated then.
